Oh, and a little FYI that I forgot to mention. He was born on his Papa's birthday (Millicent's Dad).

We are all still doing great! The kids still love Mason dearly and are such big helpers. Although we are going to have to work on being quiet! Fortunately he isn't bothered by noise yet.
He had a checkup on Wed and had gained 13 oz since we left the hospital, and everything else looks great! He still doesn't really cry. Maybe once a day we'll hear a little bit, but not much. He sleeps great and last night gave us almost 6 hours straight! We're praying he keeps this up!
Hopefully i'll have some new pictures later today!

Natalie turns 5!
On Thursday Natalie turned the big #5! She has been excited about this for a little while now. She has hoped for a while that Mason would share a birthday with her, but I don't think she understood what all that would include in the years to come :)
Grammy made her cake for her
It's all about horses right now!
And this is her new pet, courtesy of Ben's parents! Thanks Mom Mom and Pop Pop!

He's Here!
Mason Benjamin
Feb 10th 12:30 pm
7lb 4 oz 20 inches
We are doing great! It was by far my hardest delivery (I thought it was supposed to get easier?) but not the worst. I'm still very glad it's over!
We are home and doing good--just a little tired. He is such a sweet baby and we haven't heard him really cry yet...he just whimpers every now and then. I'm not ignorant, though--I know that could and probably will change any day. But for now we're enjoying this quiet little baby! We all feel so blessed and can't imagine our life without him--funny how it seems he has always been a part of our family.
Poor little guy came through the birth canal so fast that his little face was swollen and a bit bruised...
Me and my wonderful midwife Rosie, checking out the result of our hard work.
This is the first picture of the kids seeing him...they haven't stopped smiling yet!Wednesday, February 4, 2009
a little update
I'm still hanging out and baby Mason doesn't seem interested in joining us on the outside anytime soon. Sometimes I find myself so anxious I don't know what to do, but i've been able to be content for the most part. I was thinking last night that this 'waiting game' is special in it's own tough way. This might be the last time that i'm feeling the excitement of getting to meet our new baby. And i'm definitely enjoying every last minute of this pregnancy since again, it could be the last. It's been an easy one and i'm so thankful for that--and i'm praying the delivery is just as easy :).
I'll definitely have our blog updated once he makes his arrival!
