New Baby Pictures!

We went for our 'big' ultrasound early this morning! Everything looks wonderful and the kids were so thrilled to see the baby moving around on the screen. I'm just over 18 weeks and due date is still Feb 15th.

Can you guess what it is???

Oh My..what next?

Our Mama kitty has been working very hard to train her one remaining kitten to be the best hunter he can be. Just recently we started allowing him to go outside, but only occasionally. So she brings the training inside.
We have had 3 birds, a mouse (dead by the time I found it thankfully). Oh, and not to mention the big rat and large rabbit that we found in the yard (and numerous birds)...all of this within the past 2 weeks.
But, I draw the line at this latest bounty....

Poor Wyatt came upsairs shaking and crying...I couldn't figure out what he was talking about so I went downstairs. He had been watching TV and the cat sat it on the rug in front of him!
I waited on the stairs until I was sure the snake wasn't going to move very quickly, then I flung it outside with a curtain rod!
We just went downstairs to make sure she didn't bring it back in...but no worries--the little kitten has eaten the snake (all but a few bites. he'll be sleeping outside tonight).
Oh, and I wasn't very close when I took these pictures---I cropped and zoomed in from afar!!

Some Natalie Funnies

On Saturday Ben and Natalie were the first up (as usual) and he said she was telling him all about how she remembers being in my tummy. And Wyatt was there, but then he left and came out, so she was there by herself for a while. Ben asked her why she waited 2 years to come out!
This morning she woke up and told me she dreamed about our baby, and that it came out. I asked if it was a boy or girl? She said girl first, but then said no, it was a boy b/c it didn't have a hairbow!

Soccer and Camping!

About 2 weeks ago Wyatt started playing 'real soccer' (what he calls it). He did have a little trouble being too silly out on the field, but once we got him to realize that wasn't a good thing he's been doing great! I think once he picks up a lot more of the techniques and gets more confidence he'll be pretty good!

He's #3

In this picture you may notice his tongue...that's his concentrating face. He gets that from me. I get it from Grammy. I think in all of my dance recital videos from growing up you can see me doing that :)
Last Saturday we took a very last minute camping trip--just for overnight. My birthday was on Sunday and since we hadn't really planned anything to do, I thought camping might be fun. It's a shame but we hadn't gone in almost 2 years! The kids had a blast! And I was able to sit and read an entire book--something I haven't done in a while! And I was also distracted from turning 30! Actually, I was pretty excited about that :).
We all crammed into this little tent, on one air mattress that deflated during the night!

Patiently waiting for dinner!

Field Trip!

Last week we went to Rose Hill Park Manor in Frederick for a little field trip. It's a fun historical museum and the kids and I both learned a lot!

Writing a letter with a feather pen
Doing something with wool...forgive me b/c I can't remember what it's called!
Helping to weave a rug

Look closely andyou'll see a beehive...this was a cool treat to see!
There was a big room filled with period toys for the kids...they loved it!
