Birthday Post..a little late!

Last Wednesday our big boy turned 7! He woke up at 6 am that morning and proceeded to get everyone else up, too....needless to say he was excited!

We have opted to have a friends party every other year, but Wyatt did get to have someone over to play for the afternoon (our guest apparently wants to remain anonymous so we'll protect his privacy :)
And if anyone laughs at our cake, you'll be banned from the blog. seriously.

It's all about Legos this year and he got some great sets! This one is from Grammy.

They all worked together and after about 2 hours got it done!

Pregnancy update

I had a checkup with my midwife yesterday and everything is looking great! Baby is head down and although i'm only 32 weeks tomorrow, i'm measuring about 34 weeks. I've been measuring a little ahead for the most part, but not more than a week. So i'm preparing myself for a bigger baby...Wyatt was 8-2 and Natalie was 7-11 (a week early).
I have been extremely tired over the past week or two...not much is getting done around here and i'm okay with that (I think!). Someone recently told me that i'm probably more tired with this baby b/c of my age! Sheesh...I just turned 30. I didn't realize that I was old enough for my 'age' to play a role in much!
The kids are getting really excited and once Christmas is over I know they will be even more so. And i'm sure I will be, too!

Grace and Nolan

I thought i'd put some pictures up of Grace and Nolan...i'm guessing Suzanne may not email many out. She doesn't send them to me, I have to swipe them from her myspace :)

Cutting the Christmas Tree!

On Saturday we took a trip to our favorite tree farm to find our Christmas tree. The past 2 years we did artificial so we were excited to jump back into this fun tradition. The kids were so excited, and I was until we were out in the freezing wind and light snow.

Wyatt actually got to help cut this year. The last time we did this the tree fell on top of him when Ben cut it down!

30 Weeks!

Today makes 30 weeks pregnant for me! I woke up this morning and realized just how close we are to being a family of 5! Of course we have to get through Christmas and then it's crunch time to get ready for baby to be here!
Speaking of Christmas....because of a mix-up on an order that I placed a few weeks ago with Target, they were nice to give me a $25 online gift card. I have been really struggling with what to spend it on (had to be something good, right?). I came across this and immediately ordered it! Natalie loves the playmobil stuff that she has and I can't wait for this to come in!
As long as the weather cooperates (and Ben doesn't snag a big deer this morning that could distract him) we are heading out later to cut our Christmas tree! I'll share pictures for sure!

more snow

Last Friday we had a forecast that called for scattered snow showers...By lunch time we had almost 2 inches! The kids loved it!

This was a few minutes ago :)

Let It Snow :)

I think we are getting our first snow of the season right now. It's not sticking but it sure is coming down! Does that count if it doesn't stick?
I'd take some pictures but i'm too comfy inside with my cup of hot cocoa :)

A few pictures

Natalie and Wyatt were playing around in Grammy's room the other night and Natalie tried to climb on the bed really fast. Well, her foot slipped and her little face smacked into the bed railing. She looks like she got into quite a fight :).

Here's a belly shot for you Chrissie! The dog seems to think my belly is a good resting spot for her big head and does this to me quite often.
I'm 26.5 weeks pregnant and feeling pretty good lately...for a while I thought I would be exhausted forever. I've only gained 12lbs so far and am pretty happy about that :). This little guy moves a lot and is getting big! We still aren't 100% on a name but when we are i'll let everyone know!

Home Makeover

Extreme Home Makeover is in town and since this is one of Wyatt's favorite shows, I loaded the kids up to go and see the site today. We had bad timing and ended up waiting in line for about 30 minutes to catch the bus, so Wyatt entertained himself by running through the cones--over and over and over.
I honestly think the highlight of the trip for Natalie was the bus ride!
And here it is!

Our black-eyed beauty (more on that later)

Election

I wonder if anyone out there isn't watching the election coverage, sitting on pins and needles? We certainly are! But we also know that no matter what, God is in control.
Wyatt has been so into this election and it's been pretty funny sometimes how frustrated he would be with ads and such. Last night I realized that he had no idea that he wasn't old enough to vote! Poor thing--I hated to break it to him. So today when it was time for me to go, he chose to stay at home and read his new lego magazine :)
Natalie, on the other hand, was excited to go and help me push the buttons! She wore her "I Voted" sticker proudly all day!
I wish I had a picture but of course I forgot my camera when we went to vote :(

Prayer Opportunity

If you've ever clicked on the link to the right of our blog and read the story of baby Stellan, you know that already miracles have been seen in this sweet baby (who isn't even born yet!). His mom is a great blogger and loves Jesus. And tomorrow morning she'll be giving birth to Stellan...and no one really knows what to expect. So join me in praying for them and be sure to stop in tomorrow with a congratulations for them all!

Pumpkin Patch

Today we were able to visit the pumpkin patch with lots of fun friends!

We also played on the playground and had a picnic lunch, but for some reason I don't have many pictures of that!

Apple Festival

When Wyatt was about 10 months old we heard about the National Apple Festival near Gettysburg, and every year since we've gone. It is a fun tradition for us all! And this wagon...
it's been along every year!
Natalie doesn't spend too much time outside of her 'ride'.
There is a fun little petting zoo, and this year they had crafts for the kids!

That's about all of the pictures we have. We made the mistake of going the very last day this year (out of 4 days) and it was PACKED! We had fun but were all glad to get out of there. Hopefully next year i'll get more!

What we've been up to lately

Things have pretty much been low-key around here lately. I have been really tired for some reason (I thought the 2nd trimester was supposed to be easy?). The kids have been enjoying the nice weather and we try to spend a lot of time outside before winter gets here. Natalie and Wyatt are both doing school at home this year and it's going really good!

Grammy made it here on Saturday night and she brought her horse-dog along. The kids are thrilled to have another dog....

Alvie- he is not happy at all.

During Natalie's 2 weeks of preschool (that's another blog for another time) we took a field trip to a really cool apple orchard. The kids had a lot of fun and we got some yummy apples!

Natalie learning all about why bees are so important to the apple trees. They both worked hard to find just the right apples.

And were so hungry that they couldn't wait to eat them!
