Ben got this hammock at Lowes on clearance right after we moved in here (almost 2 years ago!). He and I enjoy relaxing in the shade while the kids play, but it has provided so much entertainment for them--and thank goodness it's really sturdy and has held up well!

They pile onto it and it doesn't take long before it's flipped them out--which apparently is the best part!
Yesterday afternoon Natalie worked really hard on 'dinner'. She added quite a few mystery ingredients and mixed them with water, then we had to pretend to eat it!
Looks yummy, doesn't it?
We spent some time outside in the sunshine, reading and playing. Wyatt is finishing up with Kindergarten and we've already started 1st grade reading. He's doing so good with school!
And this is Ben's new project. We have some not-so-attractive siding on the house that was put over brick! He started pulling the siding off, then we'll (actually, i'll probably just watch) power wash brick, patch it up in some spots, and repaint.

Lots of pictures!

Look at those beautiful big boy teeth coming in!

Ben went away for a fishing trip this past weekend, and Natalie helped me cook a nice dinner for Sunday to welcome him home! She learned to use a knife and helped to make a yummy banana pudding!

Back in Feb. we were able to get Wii...I swore I wouldn't get a game system until the kids were much older, but this appealed to us for quite a few reasons. One was that they would be up and moving more. Natalie and I haven't had a whole lot of interest playing it, until now. Today we got one of the new Wii Fit sets. Love it! And the kids really like the jogging part--they ran so much today! And now they are nice and cozy in their beds, worn out!

Time for Yoga :)

We had a lot of rain on sunday and monday--a LOT! Our friend Mrs Denise asked us to come over yesterday and take a canoe ride in their new waterfront property! Their yard was so flooded--fortunately it wasn't up to the house!

The kids had so much fun making some great memories! Thanks Denise for inviting us over!

Tag!

Judy tagged me a little while ago, and i'm finally getting around to posting the top 5 websites I visit every day. I'm not going to tag anyone else, because the people I would tag either have already done this or they don't blog!
So here we go!
1. www.moneysavingmom.com I can't even begin to tell you how much money I have saved since I started reading this blog back in January.

2. news sites--http://www.therecordherald.com/, www.foxnews.com, www.hattiesburgamerican.com

3. http://www.cfhusband.blogspot.com/ Nate, Tricia, and Gwyneth. Their story amazes me every time I read an update. God still gives us miracles.

4. www.biblicalwomanhoodonline.com

5. This one is a new favorite. In fact, it's a new blog! http://www.lifeasmom.com/

We are starting to really enjoy the little stream and I think it's going to be the big hit this summer. It's soooo cold still (you can see wyatt thinks so, too), but the kids romp around in it like they don't notice!

A few weekends ago the kids and Ben worked for hours on these 'rock stairs'....i'm glad they did b/c we use this water for our garden and it's easier to get down there now!
Our Lil' Rednecks :)

This one is just Natalie being silly

Natalie is definitely an athletic little thing...she kicks this soccer ball all over the yard. Yesterday we tried hitting a baseball for the first time and she hit it probably 40% of the time.
We finally filled our sandbox last week and this is where Wyatt can be found most of the time. Some people say it's just messy, but i'll take sand any day over the black mud they spent last summer digging in!
