bargains :)

I really wish I had time to document all of the bargains that I get, but only the biggest and best will have to do. And today's buy falls into that category.

Can you see how many candy bars are here? No? 24 of them. They were B1G1 free at Food Lion today. 89 cents each, so I paid a total of $10.68.
Oh wait! Silly me, that was before my coupons! After my coupons, food lion paid me .12cents!!! Yep. (I didn't keep it--it went into the march of dimes --or CMN, can't remember which--container at the register).

You see, in the main candy aisle there is a blinkie that spits out B1G1 coupons for these bars. Either stand there and collect as many as it will spit out, or just make a run down that aisle a few times while you're shopping.

I'm going to send most of these to work with Ben so he can have a yummy snack on occasion, or else i'll sit here and eat them late at night!

Food Lion also has lots of organic Gerber baby food on closeout, and there is a printable for $1/3 from Food Lion (I print my FL coupons at www.southernsavers.com from her pdf file). I love to use the 1.50 off 1 wipes and get either the flushable wipes or travel baby wipes for pennies! Oh, and peanut butter is on sale, so with coupon it's .69cents. Worth checking out if you ask me!
Ok...one last deal from today. At www.moneysavingmom.com she has a link to print a Blue Bunny coupon for $1 off. You can set your printer to print as many as you'd like. Stop by wal-mart and use these on the individual ice creams and get them free. I grabbed 9 today and plan to pick up quite a few more!
**sorry to those of you who stop in just for pictures of the kids**

a little comparison shot

The first one was taken March 18th...this little diaper swallowed sweet Mason! The second pic was taken yesterday (may 27). We don't have too much time left in this cover :(

Vacation Pics

Last thursday we took a quick mini-vacation to Williamsburg, VA. On Friday we spent the day at Busch Gardens and it was so much fun (and hot!).

The kids climbing in some really high nets!

These swings went so slow, and Natalie was a bit mad that I wouldn't let her ride the big ones :(

A yummy funnel cake with chocolate! It was so good!!!

And we took a train ride from Scotland to Germany --and thought of our friends :)

And we saw some big ole horses! Natalie loved them but was a bit afraid!

there is a new area this year that is sesame street themed. And let me tell you, the rides are perfect for elementary aged kids. I don't know many small kids who would want to ride some of these! there was a roller coaster that was a bit frightening if you ask me!

Mason hanging out. He did so good!

Our favorite part was the wet playground. Natalie doesn't like to be splashed (such a girlie) so she just hung out.

But Wyatt was all over the place!

And here is Mason when he found out we wer having Sonic for dinner!

And sacked out after a long day!

bargain post

I HAVE to share this deal, since I thought it was a pretty good one :)

http://www.moneysavingmom.com/ has links to a lot of kraft coupons. And Weis is having a good deal until Tuesday.

I bought the following for $3.xx!!!! (I forget the change amount).

The wacky mac veggie pasta is B1G1 @ $1.55--I used a printed coupons for .75/1, which doubled to 1.50. So .05 cents for 2 bags! I grabbed 8! I love this pasta b/c it's fun and colorful but no dyes.

The bbq is on sale for $1 --- I used 7 printables and got 7 bottles for free. BUT--when you buy 6, you get a catalina printed for $3 off your next order.

And I had coupons for free rolls of toilet paper :)

So in my 2nd transaction I bought 6 Digiorno flatmelts that are on sale for $2. On the freezer door there was a blinkie machine with $1 off coupons...so I got them each for $1, minus the $3 coupon from my previous transaction!

All of my printables came from links on money saving mom.

New Toy

Mason wants to share his yard sale find from today....a $5 exersaucer! Apparently a lady bought it to keep at her house for her grandaughter, who only sat in it a few times and hated it. So it's pretty much new! He still has a little while until he can use it, but the kids wanted him to try it out immediately.
He's checking it out, not sure what to think!

Looking a little closer, thinking this may be fun....

Yep, it's fun! Just like riding a roller coaster! (especially with Natalie making the toys go crazy!) He actually sat like this for a little while :)

And here's Natalie--it actually entertained her longer than it did Mason!

A big day!

Not only was yesterday Mother's Day, but it was also Mason's 3 month birthday, AND he was dedicated at church!
Judy snagged a few pictures for us (becki, waiting on yours!). In this first one she snagged me in some sort of half smile. You see Mason was real interested in what was going on.
When we have dedications we (parents) stand before the church and dedicate our child to the Lord and promise to raise them in a Godly home. Our pastor then prays over each child, asking God to protect them and be with them through their life.

Mason and Pastor Mike

This was the best picture we could get of the kids together after church!

And here's the big 3-month-old! He enjoys sitting in his bumbo seat for a short time. He has discovered his hands and likes to look a them a lot--at least when they aren't in his mouth! That is usually where they are, though. You'll see in the next few pictures!

Brothers! Wyatt is still so happy that he has a little brother. He told me last week that all boys should have a brother!

Let's see....Mason has stopped sleeping in his swing for more than 20 minutes, so today we're trying a nap in his crib. So far he's been asleep for 48 minutes! At night he gives me a good 6 hours straight, and one night last week we got 8!
He is chewing on his hands and drooling constantly. Wyatt and Natalie had their first teeth at 4 months, so i'm going out on a limb and saying that he is likely teething. Sometimes he will be chewing and just start screaming. I suppose we'll see if he really is working on some.
He occasionally rolls front to back, and tries so hard to do back to front. He talks and smiles a lot, and already loves the big kids so much.
And at bedtime he still wants to be in his cradle, so most nights we put him down and he falls asleep quickly.
And something funny...Natalie has taken to changing her diaper when I ask her to watch him for me (usually while i'm in the shower or cleaning). She sure does a good job getting it on but can' seem to get him re-dressed. She's such a good helper!
Time is definitely flying by already.
