Growing up I always wondered why the 'grown ups' constantly said "time flies". I just didn't get it...time seemed to drrrraaaaagggg!
Now I understand. Tomorrow I will have an 8 year-old. It was 8 years ago right about now that I went to bed feeling just a bit sick to my stomach---having no idea that labor was starting!

Tomorrow (actually today - because it's already midnight) is two years since I had Ellie. Her birthday is also Dec. 17. I got to the hospital at 11 p.m. on Dec. 16 and had her at 2:30 a.m. on December 17. Feels like just yesterday. It's a little bittersweet that babies grow up so quickly, isn't it? Enjoy your birthday celebration!
